WEEKLY ACTION STEP: Who are your People?

Dear Soulful Solopreneur,

I believe that for spirit-led entrepreneurs who just want to help and heal the world while earning their worth, its imperative to “know your people.”  Who ARE those people who are MEANT to work with you? I believe they are out there just waiting to connect.  When I started business coaching a mentor of mine said to me, “Jessica there are a group of women out there who are MEANT to be working with you.”  I had started to feel that nobody was going to hear my message or that I wouldn’t find the women I wanted to serve. When she said this to me, it resonated deeply.  I knew it was true.  Shortly after that, my first clients flooded in.

Each of us is here for a mission and a purpose and I believe it was pre-designed.  If you’re connected with me through this newsletter then you either know your purpose and passion in life or you’re on a mission to find it.  Knowing WHO these people are who are meant to be served by you is imperative.  You’ve got to know where they hang out, what they talk about, what they struggle with, what makes them smile.  You need to really know not just where to find them but how to CONNECT with them.

Here is a simple exercise to get to know WHO your PEEPS are:

1)  Ask yourself this question:  What are the struggles of my client?

Now write down as many struggles as you can think of.

Here are mine:  Solopreneurs working too many hours and barely paying the bills.  Passion but no profits.  Making good money but working self to the bone and unhappy and stressed out.  Financially strapped with past money drama that keeps cycling.  Confusion around how to make business profitable.

2)  Now to take it further as yourself the following.   How does having this struggle affect my client spiritually?  Mentally? Physically? Emotionally?  How does it affect their family life?  How does it affect their career?  How does it affect their joy?

Here is my example:  Solopreneur feels drained physically and hardly any energy left at the end of the day.  Tense muscles and back pain. Too tired to wake up and face the day.  Spiritually feels lack and disconnected from spirit.  Passion dwindling.  Tension with spouse and spouse is starting to not believe business is viable or a good idea.  Family members not believing in the solopreneur.  Solopreneur feels embarrassed and frustrated by lack of success and starts to doubt self.  Living with a lack and fear mentality.

3) Next, define all the ways you SOLVE these struggles for your clients.

Here is my example:

I help clients SHIFT their money mindset so they can STOP having more MONTH than money.

I guide my clients to completely REVAMP their business model to one that is profitable and FUN.

I help my clients FREE UP TIME by leveraging their skills and talents to their advantage.

I teach my clients to create a 6-figure business model that WORKS.

So take these above sentences and this is WHAT you say to your potential clients when you find them!  And you’ll know who they are because these statements will be MUSIC to their ears.  Try it at your next networking event and see how it works like a charm!  Next time I’ll teach how to craft an offer your potential clients can’t refuse!

Love and Success,

Jessica Patterson
